Darren Ansell | Founding Member | Head Investigator
For most of my teenage life I grew up with many paranormal experiences, and to understand this phenomena I joined a paranormal group before founding PSI in 2005. I have a desire to understand this type of activity taking a purely scientific and balanced approach. As Head Investigator my role is to oversee the investigation from beginning to end, making sure that all the team are carrying out the investigation according to PSI procedures and guidelines. I am involved with new investigation methods and developing experiments such as audio/visual. During this time I have also set up our second team in Omagh and been heavily involved in setting up the IPA (Irish Paranormal Alliance). I am a Business Development Manager by day, so I use these interpersonal skills within the team to deal with clients, the general public and media. I am also involved in recruiting for new members with required skills, as well as the general running of the team.

Tony Armstrong | Lead Investigator | Research & Technology | Webmaster
My naturally inquisitive, but sceptical mind coupled with a fascination of the paranormal originally led me to join PSI. This was both to further my own knowledge and working closely with other members of the team my aim is to help the group develop its research into various phenomena through the informed and effective use of the most up to date equipment available. Whilst on investigation, my role is to help plan the investigation, ensure that procedures are followed, results are documented and every possible angle is covered in searching for the root cause of reported anomalies, while being mindful of the interests and safety of the client. Off location I keep the website updated with new research/articles, build contacts, road test new equipment, develop new experiments and spend time researching various phenomena. Through this research, the end goal for the group is to assist members of the public in understanding any previously unexplained experiences, and to provide further help, if necessary.

Mark | Investigator | Audio/Visual Analysis & Development
I have been an audio/visual tech for a number of years, filming, producing and directing everything from documentaries to music videos and even the odd feature film. I've been interested in the paranormal for as long as i can remember, I think that it would be pretty arrogant of us as a race of people to think that we have discovered everything there is to know about life let alone death. I think we've only reached the tip of the iceberg in both respects. I consider myself 50% Spiritually minded and 50% technologically minded. I think before technology evolved us, we all had a built in ability to know certain things, however, this is now the world we live in so occasionally we must rely on technology.
I believe my role with PSI is to make sure all audio/visual evidence, as well as the groups procedures and investigations, are documented visually with as high a standard of quality as possible for our own advancement and for the benefit of the public.

Cormac Donnelly | Investigator | Psychology
I have always had an interest in paranormal and unusual phenomena since childhood. This continued through my university career where I studied psychology and criminology. These studies further fuelled my interest in the role the mind plays in the paranormal. I enjoy researching areas that have scientific grounding to see how that can be adapted to explain paranormal phenomena. These topics include, but are not limited to perception, hallucinations, hypnosis and the effect of the subconscious on behaviour. I approach investigations with a degree of scepticism, and prefer to analyse all possible angles before reaching any conclusions.
I assist with the investigations on location and can offer alternative explanations to percieved phenomena. However, I am ready to admit that there are some situations where I cannot find any logical explanation.

Roddy Breslin | Lead Investigator - PSI North-West
It’s now well over 2 years since I became a member of what I now truly believe is one the best paranormal teams in the UK & Ireland today. With my skills in photography and filming, it is my job within the team to provide the very best possible picture and sound quality when it comes to gathering evidence of the paranormal on video-cams and digital photo-stills. I am constantly trying to find new ideas and methods to add in the search for real evidence.
As Lead Investigator in the North West Section of PSI, I am truly proud of the close-knit team that has evolved here. Raymond, Joy and our new investigators in training, Simon & Irene are all dedicated to researching this subject.
Without doubt the biggest highlight over the past 2 years was being invited by Darren to play our part in the making of the 1st & 2nd series of the highly successful ‘Northern Ireland’s Greatest Haunts’ The fact that I was responsible for most of the photography on locations and that my filming skills were also used in some of the making of the program fills me with great pride. For as long as my skills are required I will remain a very proud and happy member of this great paranormal team.

Raymond Breslin | Investigator - PSI North-West
I've always had a very keen interest in the paranormal and have longed to joined a group that was into finding the truth. I was introduced to PSI through my brother Roddy. He had already been a member for about a year or so and I was very happy when he suggested me becoming a member too. I never thought my first meeting with PSI would end up with me playing a small part in a really fantastic, new TV series called Northern Ireland's Greatest Haunts. I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know the rest of the PSI team who I found to be a very genuine bunch of people and I am honored they accepted me as a member and really enjoyed working with them on the investigations for the TV series and I very much look forward to taking part in new investigations in the future.

Joy Wilson | Data Collection/Analysis | Investigator - PSI North-West
What I bring to the team is commitment and dedication. I am the person responsible for making sure that all the equipment is in working order and ready for each investigation. I assist the Lead Investigator in setting up cameras and audio equipment, and I monitor and log events that may occur during investigations. At the end of every investigation it is also my job to make sure that all equipment is gathered up and accounted for before leaving each and every location. I like to approach every investigation with a sceptical and open mind in the hope of capturing possible evidence of the paranormal.

Simon Burke | Investigator | Webdesigner - PSI North-West
Having a flare for technology, I can use this to help the whole team. By helping in the design of this website, analysing audio using Adobe Audition, analysing video footage with Adobe Premiere Pro, and being able to collate results, I can provide a scientific angle on investigation. I am not in this group to just be content with a certain result, such as that from table tilting or EVP work; I want to know how and why these phenomena occur and what I can do to prove for a fact that there is life after death.

Irene McDevitt | Investigator - PSI North-West
I’ve always been interested in the paranormal. It’s always been one of those things that to date can neither be proven nor disproven. This is why I joined this group, which has a more scientific approach. I love going through evidence and searching for EVPs. (Electronic Voice Phenomena). By being in this group, I can go further into the scientific side of paranormal investigation to get some real results.

Ally O'Flynn | Lead Investigator | Researcher & Historian- PSI ROI
The Paranormal World has always Intrigued me, and when I met up with the PSI team, I knew this was the team that I wanted to be part of. What I hope to be able to contribute to this already great team is my ability and love of Research and History, Scouring through archives and reams of new and historical documents so that the team can gain a little more insight into a particular location in the South of Ireland. Most of all I want to learn from the team and try to contribute as much as I can.

Dave Yeates | Investigator | Researcher - PSI ROI
My focus is on the Audio Tech end and my goal is to document concrete paranormal evidence for PSI. I have been interested in paranormal study for many years and have a passion for progress in this area. I am also very open-minded, yet respectful of the opinions of others, both within and outside of the PSI family.
I work alongside team leader Ally (PSI-ROI). One question I think we would all like to know the answer to, ‘Is there a world beyond this one, perhaps in another dimension?’ This being one of the main reasons I joined PSI, and also due to the fact that they take a much more scientifically committed approach to the study of the paranormal. In working with the team, I aim to improve my knowledge & skills in this field, to help empower me in my research and that of the wider team.
